Beats in Space
A radio show mixed live by the sometimes awkward speaking Tim Sweeney of DFA and whatever guest DJ’s/Producers who happen to be traveling through New York on WNYU 89.1 FM every Tuesday night from 10:30pm to 1:00am.
From what I gather, the show began in 1999 and has grown to a supremely respectful program as Tim does an excellent job of curating. The well designed Beats in Space website has archived every episode and provides seemless downloads, streams, or you can sign up for their podcasts through iTunes. Unlike the etiquette of most pretentious DJ’s, who hover over their material like Disney, the majority of the songs played on the program are listed.
